My friend who runs a non-profit organization needed help building a site but didn’t know where to begin. I recommended she create a WordPress site with Bluehost, and from there I installed the Salient theme and built her site.

I was given complete creative freedom, and so I went with a bold, dark theme to represent the moodiness of the dance culture. Since Asian Xpression had a black logo with a bold, yellow accent color, I utilized the yellow to highlight the announcement fundraising bar and buttons. I used high resolution photos off of unsplash.com that displayed South East Asia to give the users a glimpse into what they would be signing up for if they registered for the program. I also added many CTAs throughout the page so users would be able to easily donate and contact the organization.
